We worked closely with Manchester Airport who were constructing a brand new purpose-built building for cleaning all the terminal buses. They needed a set of doors that would automatically open and close to let buses in and out. We were very happy to supply and fit exactly what they needed.
The operation involved interlocking of the doors with the bus wash cleaning service. The buses drive up to the entrance door, is detected by an external post mounted photo cell unit (supplied by A&C Maintenance), the door then opens. The bus then enters the building and the door closes behind after a timed delay. When the door is closed the bus wash runs through its cycle of cleaning the bus. Once the wash has finished its cycle the system switches off and the high speed door automatically opens. The bus then exits the building and the door closes behind it after a timed delay.
